Are you new to yoga and would you like to to give it a try? Or perhaps you love your yoga already and would like to practice as part of a group? Whatever your experience level, we're offering you a great opportunity to join free yoga classes as part of our Llanthropology project!
Under the guidance of Lara Bricknell you'll discover a range of yoga techniques. The focus is on increasing self-awareness, becoming aware of the way in which your breath flows as you practice, being curious about the sensations in your body and learning to pay attention to the messages your body sends you.
The yoga classes take place in the Brick Range at Llanthony Secunda Priory. Doors are open from 10am, with the class starting at 10.15, finishing around 11.15am. The classes take place on Friday 21st May, and on the following three Thursdays: 3rd, 10th and 17th June.
The classes are managed in full compliance of the Covid-19 regulations, with special hygiene measures in place. Numbers are limited, so booking is essential. If you are able to bring your own mat that would be great - we have a few yoga mats available on request.
These classes are part of the Llanthropology project, which organises arts and activities to inspire Gloucester. The Llanthropology project and all of its activities are sponsored by Historic England.
