The Llanthony Secunda Priory Trust is looking for a part-time Volunteer Manager to engage, grow and develop its community of dedicated volunteers.
The Llanthony Secunda Priory Trust is a voluntary organisation at its heart, supported by a small staff team. Volunteers staff the buildings on Open Days, give guided tours and maintain our five acres of grounds. The Trust is governed by a board of voluntary trustees.
We plan to expand our community of dedicated and loyal volunteers to ensure we can continue to open to the public, run events and keep our grounds and buildings maintained. In this paid position, the Volunteer Manager will be responsible for growing our volunteer family – with a particular focus on recruiting volunteers with an interest in heritage skills, gardening, history and tour guiding, administration, marketing, catering or retail. They will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of volunteers – ensuring their personal and training records are up to date, enquiring on availability and helping to manage the rota, and training volunteers accordingly.
