The 'Goals beyond Grass' team are bringing Accessible Sports to Llanthony Secunda Priory.
There will be a variety of sports and activities to try out, including powerchair Boccia and Curling. The 'Goals beyond Grass' team will bring two powerchairs with them on the day for participants to use.
'Goals beyond Grass' try to help enhance the lives of disabled adults and children, by reducing social isolation and engaging the whole community. They want to make social and physical activity available to all irrespective of gender, age, race or ability.
They facilitate people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and non-disabled siblings and friends within the same activities. We are excited to be working with the team as part of our Llanthropology Project, funded by Historic England.
This accessible sports sessions takes place on Friday 16th April, 10.30am-12.30pm in the Henry Dene Hall. An accessible toilet is available, and Covid-19 measures are in place to make this a fun and safe activity for everyone involved. Parking is available on site for participants.
